A certificate of analysis (CoA) is a lab report that shows what a CBD product contains. Reputable sellers publish one for every batch.
What to look for
1. Lab details
The report should name an independent, accredited lab, and give a test date.
2. Batch number
This should match the batch number printed on your bottle or cartridge.
3. Cannabinoid profile
A table lists each cannabinoid tested. Check the CBD figure against the label, and look for THC shown as “ND” (not detected).
4. Contaminants
Fuller reports also test for heavy metals, pesticides and residual solvents, with a pass or fail for each.
If a seller can’t show you a CoA, choose a different product.
