If you’ve shopped for CBD vapes or oils, you’ll have seen the words isolate and broad spectrum on the label. Both are THC-free, but they’re made differently.

CBD isolate

Isolate is CBD on its own, refined to around 99% purity. It has no other cannabinoids and no hemp terpenes, so it has almost no taste or smell. It’s a good choice if you want a clean flavour or want to know exactly what you’re taking.

Broad spectrum

Broad spectrum CBD keeps more of the hemp plant: terpenes and minor cannabinoids such as CBG and CBN. THC is removed during processing. It has a more earthy, herbal flavour.

How to check the lab report

  • Match the batch number on the report to the one on your product
  • Check the CBD content matches the label
  • Look for THC listed as “not detected” or “ND”
  • Make sure the lab is independent and the report is recent

Every CBD product we sell has its certificate available. If you can’t find one, email us and we’ll send it.
